Wild Tamarin fruit is a small pod filled with fuzzy, tasty pulp. The pulp melts in your mouth as you eat it. It is very different from Tamarindus indica. The fuzzy pulp has a tangy, very sweet flavor. Plus, the pulp is very high in vitamin C. Dialium guineese are ancestral to Mesoamerica, the tree is known as Palo de Lacandon or Ironwood, it is common to see it growing in the Atlantic lowlands of now called Central America.

How to Eat: The shell is very fragile. Crack it open and pop whole fruit into mouth. Suck the fuzzy pulp around the seeds. Do not eat seed. The seeds is viable. Can be made into juice and other preserves. This fruit is traditionally made into juice to support overall health.

When Will I Receive my Fruit? : If fruit is IN SEASON it will take 1- 2 weeks. If fruit is out of season you may place a PREORDER which means it may take up to 6 months for you fruit to arrive. (PREORDERS will be sent on first come first serve basis).
