There are many members of the Pouteria family, one of them being Abiu. This Abiu is known as Redondo, it is more spherical, sweeter and has less latex than other types. While the texture is slightly latex it’s also juicy and has a caramel vanilla flavor. The flesh resembles the texture of Jello and melts in your mouth leaving your mouth sticky! This fruit is hard to come by and is considered rare to many.

How to Eat: This fruit is ready to eat upon arrival. You can cut the fruit in half with a knife and eat the white pulp inside. Do not eat skin or seeds. Seeds are viable.
